21 Subchapter: Permissibility of a woman traveling with her husband’s servant or his master
Hadith 2528
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، نا عَمِّي ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَشَجُّ ، أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ بَعْثٍ مَرَّةً ، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اذْهَبْ فَآتِنِي بِمَيْمُونَةَ " ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي فِي الْبَعْثِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَسْتَ تُحِبُّ مَا أُحِبُّ ؟ " قُلْتُ : بَلَى ، يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " اذْهَبْ ، فَآتِنِي بِهَا " ، قَالَ فَذَهَبْتُ فَجِئْتُهُ بِهَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Once I was with an army, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered me: "Go and bring Maimunah (may Allah be pleased with her) to me." I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah, I am part of the army." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do you not like what I like?" I replied, "Why not, O Messenger of Allah." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Go and bring her to me." Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: So I went and brought Sayyidah Maimunah (may Allah be pleased with her) to him.
