(3) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِتَعْجِيلِ الْحَجِّ خَوْفَ فَوْتِهِ بِرَفْعِ الْكَعْبَةِ،
3 Subchapter: Command to hasten to Hajj for fear of missing it if the Kaaba is lifted
Hadith 2506
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قَزْعَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ بِخَبَرٍ غَرِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اسْتَمْتِعُوا مِنْ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ ، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ هُدِمَ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، وَيُرْفَعُ فِي الثَّالِثِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : قَوْلُهُ : يُرْفَعُ فِي الثَّالِثِ ، يُرِيدُ بَعْدَ الثَّالِثَةِ ، إِذْ رَفْعُ مَا قَدْ هُدِمَ مُحَالٌ ، لأَنَّ الْبَيْتَ إِذَا هُدِمَ لا يَقَعُ عَلَيْهِ اسْمُ بَيْتٍ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ هُنَاكَ بِنَاءٌ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Benefit from the House of Allah, for it will be demolished twice and the third time it will be taken up." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says: The meaning of your statement, "the third time its structure will be taken up," is that after being demolished the third time, it will be taken up, because it is impossible to take up something that has already been demolished. When a house collapses and no structure remains, it is no longer called a "house."
