(170) بَابُ التَّغْلِيظِ فِي مَسْأَلَةِ الْغَنِيِّ الصَّدَقَةَ
170 Subchapter: Severe warning against the rich asking for charity
Hadith 2481
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلانَ ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَرْحٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيّ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ رَجُلا جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ ، فِي هَيْئَةٍ بَذَّةٍ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقُوا ، وَأَلْقَوْا ثِيَابًا ، فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِثَوْبَيْنِ ، وَأَمَرَهُ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ " ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ خَرَّجْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِ الْجُمُعَةِ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the day of Jumu'ah, a man came in a very poor condition while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed the people to give charity to him, and the people placed some of their clothes for charity. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that two garments be given to him, and he instructed him, so he performed two rak'ahs while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon. Then the rest of the hadith was narrated. I have mentioned this hadith in the Book of Jumu'ah.
