Hadith 2469
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) permitted the people of ‘Araya to sell their fruit, after estimating it, in exchange for one wasq, two wasqs, three, or four wasqs of dates. And he said: “For every ten wasqs of dates that are picked, one bunch will be placed in the mosque for the needy.” Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I heard from Darimi that the meaning of “qana’” and “qinw” is the same, i.e., “a bunch.”
