(154) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِإِتْيَانِ الْقَرَابَةِ بِمَا يَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ الْمَوْلَى لِلَّهِ- عَزَّ وَجَلَّ- مِنْ صَدَقَةِ التَّطَوُّعِ
154 Subchapter: Command to give voluntary charity to relatives to seek closeness to Allah
Hadith 2458
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَنَسٌ : أُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ سورة آل عمران آية 92 ، قَالَ : مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا سورة البقرة آية 245 ، قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، حَائِطِي الَّذِي فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا هُوَ لِلَّهِ ، وَلَوِ اسْتَطَعْتُ أَنْ أُسِرَّهُ لَمْ أُعْلِنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : " اجْعَلْهُ فِي فُقَرَاءِ أَهْلِكَ ، أَدْنَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when this verse was revealed « لَن تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّىٰ تُنفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ » [ سورة آل عمران : 92 ] "You will never attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love," and this statement « مَّن ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا » [ سورة البقرة : 245 ] "Who is it that will lend Allah a goodly loan," Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), my garden located at such-and-such place is charity for Allah, and if I had the ability to keep it secret, I would not have announced it." So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Distribute it among your needy close relatives."
Hadith 2459
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when this verse was revealed, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated as mentioned above.
