Hadith 2435
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "There are three types of hands: Allah Almighty’s hand is the highest and most exalted. After that is the hand of the one who gives charity. And the hand of the one who asks will remain below until the Day of Judgment, so avoid asking according to your ability." In the narration of Abu Al-Ahwas, it is mentioned: "Whoever is after that," and he said, "Therefore, avoid asking, avoid it as much as you are able." These are the words of the hadith as narrated by Bundar.
Hadith 2436
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "The best charity is that which leaves prosperity and wealth remaining, and the upper hand (the one who gives charity) is better than the lower hand (the one who receives charity). And begin giving charity to those whose expenses are your responsibility. Your wife says: 'Spend on me or divorce me.' Your slave also says: 'Spend on me or sell me.' And your son says: 'To whom do you entrust me?'"
