Hadith 2428
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he mentioned the Fire of Hell, then sought Allah’s protection from it, and, expressing aversion to it, turned his blessed face away two or three times. Then he said: “Protect yourselves from the Fire of Hell, even if it be by giving half a date in charity; and if you do not have that, then save yourselves by speaking a good word.”
Hadith 2429
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Protect yourselves from the Fire, even if it is by giving a piece of a date in charity." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Ismail refers to Ismail bin Muslim Makki, and I am free from responsibility regarding him.
Hadith 2430
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give charity to save yourself from the Fire, even if it is only a piece of a date."
