Hadith Q2387
وَالْأَغْنِيَاءِ بِكَسْبِهِمْ عَنِ الصَّدَقَاتِ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا أَغْنِيَاءَ بِمَالٍ يَمْلِكُونَهُ، بِذِكْرِ خَبَرٍ مُجْمَلٍ غَيْرِ مُفَسَّرٍ
And it is also forbidden to give zakat to those people who, through their own earnings, can remain independent of zakat, even if they are not wealthy in terms of their wealth and property. In this regard, a concise, non-detailed narration is mentioned.
Hadith 2387
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "It is not lawful for a wealthy person and a strong, healthy man to take zakat money."
