(89) بَابُ ذِكْرِ إِعْطَاءِ الْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ لِيَسْلَمُوا لِلْعَطِيَةِ
89| Chapter on giving zakat to those whose hearts are to be reconciled to Islam
Hadith 2371
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، وَأَبُو مُوسَى ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يُسْأَلْ شَيْئًا عَلَى الإِسْلامِ إِلا أَعْطَاهُ ، قَالَ : فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَسَأَلَهُ ، فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِشِيَاءٍ كَثِيرَةٍ بَيْنَ جَبَلَيْنِ مِنْ شِيَاءِ الصَّدَقَةِ ، قَالَ : فَرَجَعَ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا قَوْمِ ، أَسْلِمُوا فَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا يُعْطِي عَطَاءً لا يَخْشَى الْفَاقَةَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that whatever was asked from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for Islam, he would grant it. He says that a man came to him and asked him for wealth, so he gave him a large number of goats grazing between two mountains from the zakat goats. That man (gathered the goats and) went to his people and said, "O my people, accept Islam, for Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gives such gifts that he does not fear poverty at all."
Hadith 2372
حَدَّثَنَا الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدًا ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَنَسٌ : أَنَّ رَجُلا أَتَى نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِشِيَاءٍ بَيْنَ جَبَلَيْنِ فَرَجَعَ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَسْلِمُوا ، فَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا يُعْطِي عَطَاءَ رَجُلٍ لا يَخْشَى الْفَاقَةَ "
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (and asked for something to be given), so the Prophet ordered that he be given (all) the goats present between two mountains. That man returned to his people and said, "O people, become Muslim, for Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gives so generously like the one who does not fear poverty."
