جماع أبواب قسم الصدقات وذكر أهل سهمانهاChapters on Distribution of Zakat and its Recipients
(74) بَابُ ذِكْرِالْبَيَانِ أَنّ عَلٰی أَوْلِيَاءِ الْأَطفَالِ مِنْ اٰلِ النَّبِیِّ صلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْعُھُمْ مِنْ أَكْلِ مَا حُرِّمَ عَلَی اَلْبَالِغِیْنَ
74| Chapter clarifying that the guardians of the Prophet’s children must prevent them from eating what is forbidden to adults
Hadith 2349
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شَيْبَانَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ : مَا تَذْكُرُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : أَذْكُرُ أَنَّهُ أَدْخَلَنِي مَعَهُ غُرْفَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَأَخَذْتُ تَمْرَةً ، فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا فِي فِيَّ ، فَقَالَ : " أَلْقِهَا ، فَإِنَّهَا لا تَحِلُّ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلا أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ "
Janab Ibn Shaiban narrates that I asked Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them), "Which saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) do you remember?" He replied, "I remember that he took me into the room where the wealth of zakat was kept, so I took a date and put it in my mouth. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Take it out, because this wealth of zakat is not lawful for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) or for any member of his household.'"
