جماع أَبْوَابِ ذِكْرِ السِّعَايَةِ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ
Chapters on Collectors of Zakat

(61) بَابُ ذِكْرِ التَّغْلِيظِ عَلَى السِّعَايَةِ بِذِكْرِ خَبَرٍ مُجْمَلٍ غَيْرِ مُفَسَّرٍ
61| Chapter on the stern warning against those who collect zakat, mentioned in general terms
2 (62) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ التَّغْلِيظَ فِي الْعَمَلِ عَلَى السِّعَايَةِ الْمَذْكُورَ فِي خَبَرِ عُقْبَةَ هُوَ فِي السَّاعِي، إِذَا لَمْ يَعْدِلْ فِي عَمَلِهِ وَجَارَ وَظَلَمَ،62| Chapter on the evidence that the warning applies to the collector if he is unjust and oppressive
3 (63) بَابٌ فِي التَّغْلِيظِ فِي الِاعْتِدَاءِ فِي الصَّدَقَةِ وَتَمْثِيلِ الْمُعْتَدِي فِيهَا بِمَانِعِهَا63| Chapter on the stern warning against transgressing in zakat and likening the transgressor to one who withholds it
4 (64) بَابُ التَّغْلِيظِ فِي غُلُولِ السَّاعِي مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ64| Chapter on the stern warning against embezzling from zakat
5 (65) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْبَيَانِ أَنَّ مَا كَتَمَ السَّاعِي مِنْ قَلِيلِ الْمَالِ أَوْ كَثِيرِهِ عَنِ الْإِمَامِ كَانَ مَا كَتَمَ غُلُولًا.65| Chapter clarifying that whatever the collector conceals from the imam is considered embezzlement
6 (66) بَابُ التَّغْلِيظِ فِي قَبُولِ الْمُصَدِّقِ الْهَدِيَّةَ مِمَّنْ يَتَوَلَّى السِّعَايَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ66| Chapter on the stern warning against the collector accepting gifts from those he collects zakat from
7 (67) بَابُ صِفَةِ إِتْيَانِ السَّاعِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِمَا غَلَّ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ، وَأَمْرُ الْإِمَامِ بِمُحَاسَبَةِ السَّاعِي إِذَا [238: ب] قَدِمَ مِنْ سِعَايَتِهِ67| Chapter on the collector coming on the Day of Judgment with what he embezzled from zakat, and the imam being required to audit the collector
8 (68) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِإِرْضَاءِ الْمُصَدِّقِ وَإِصْدَارِهِ رَاضِيًا عَنْ أَصْحَابِ الْأَمْوَالِ68| Chapter on the command to please the collector and send him off satisfied
9 (69) بَابُ الزَّجْرِ عَنِ اسْتِعْمَالِ مَوَالِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ إِذَا طَلَبُوا الْعِمَالَةَ، إِذْ هُمْ مِمَّنْ لَا تَحِلُّ لَهُمُ الصَّدَقَةُ الْمَفْرُوضَةُ69| Chapter on the prohibition of employing the Prophet’s freed slaves to collect zakat if they seek the job, as they are not allowed to take obligatory zakat
10 (70) بَابُ الزَّجْرِ عَنِ اسْتِعْمَالِ مَوَالِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ إِذَا طَلَبُوا الْعِمَالَةَ عَلَى السِّعَايَةِ،70| Chapter on the prohibition of employing the Prophet’s freed slaves to collect zakat if they seek the job
11 (71) بَابُ صَلَاةِ الْإِمَامِ عَلَى الْمَأْخُوذِ مِنْهُ الصَّدَقَةُ اتْبَاعًا لِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ- عَزَّ وَجِلَّ- بِنَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ71| Chapter on the imam praying for the one from whom zakat is taken, following Allah’s command to His Prophet
