Hadith 2316
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Attab bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said regarding the zakat of grapes: "The estimate of grapes should be made just as the estimate of dates is made, then its zakat should be taken from raisins just as the zakat of fresh dates is taken from dried dates."
Hadith 2317
It is narrated from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered 'Attab bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) to estimate the yield of grapes just as the yield of dates is estimated, and then to collect the zakat of grapes in the form of raisins, just as the zakat of fresh dates is collected in the form of dried dates. He says, this was the blessed practice of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the collection of zakat on dates and grapes.
Hadith 2318
Sayyiduna Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates the aforementioned narration from Sayyiduna 'Attab bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him), but in it, these words are not present: "That in dates and grapes, this is the Sunnah and way of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that ('Abbad bin Ishaq)'s name is 'Abdur Rahman, and 'Abbad is his title.
