37| Chapter on the exemption of zakat on less than five awaq of silver

Hadith 2293
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no zakat on silver less than five awqiyah."
Hadith 2294
حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَزَّازُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ صَدَقَةٌ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Zakat is not obligatory on silver less than five awqiyah, nor is zakat obligatory on camels less than five, nor is there zakat on grain less than five wasq."
