Hadith 2284
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "I have exempted you from zakat on horses and slaves, therefore pay one dirham of zakat for every forty dirhams from your wealth." Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "For every forty dinars, one dinar, and for every twenty dinars, there is zakat."
Hadith 2285
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a marfu’ report that: “There is no zakat on a Muslim person’s horse and slave.”
Hadith 2286
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu‘ form that: "There is no zakat on a Muslim's horse or slave."
Hadith 2287
ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنَا آخِرُهُمْ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنَا آخِرُهُمْ يَزِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عِرَاكَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ
أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ فِي فَرَسِهِ ، وَلا عَبْدِهِ صَدَقَةٌ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that "There is no zakat on a Muslim man's horse and slave."
