Hazrat Amr bin Shu’aib narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) saying in the year of the conquest of Makkah: “O people, the agreements of mutual cooperation and support that were made during the time of ignorance, Islam will further strengthen them, and now in Islam, there will be no agreements of mutual support and assistance (for the purpose of oppressing others). All Muslims will be united and in agreement against the disbelievers. Even the lowest and weakest Muslim can grant protection to someone, and their distant Muslim will honor the protection given by them (or the army that goes ahead will include the rear warriors in the spoils), and their attacking warriors will include those sitting in the camp in the spoils. A believer will not be killed in exchange for a disbeliever. The blood money for a disbeliever is half that of a Muslim. Animals for zakat will not be gathered and brought to the collector’s station, nor will they be taken far from their places, and the zakat of animals will be collected at the owners’ places.” This narration is from this chain. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr says that I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, should I write down your sayings?” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Yes.” I asked, “In both your anger and happiness?” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Yes, because it is not appropriate for me to say anything but the truth regarding religion.”
