(12) بَابُ ذِكْرِ دَلِيلٍ آخَرَ عَلَى أَنَّ الْوَعِيدَ لِلْمُكْتَنِزِ هُوَ لِمَانِعِ الزَّكَاةِ دُونَ مَنْ يُؤَدِّيهَا
12| Chapter on further evidence that the warning is for those who withhold zakat, not those who pay it
Hadith 2258
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّدَفِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَدَّيْتَ زَكَاةَ مَالِكَ ، فَقَدْ أَذَهَبْتَ عَنْكَ شَرَّهُ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "When you have paid the zakat of your wealth, then you have removed its evil from yourself."
