(6) بَابُ ذِكْرِ لَعْنِ لَاوِي الصَّدَقَةِ الْمُمْتَنِعِ مِنْ أَدَائِهَا
6| Chapter on the curse upon the collector of charity who refuses to give it
Hadith 2250
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عِيسَى ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : " آكِلُ الرِّبَا ، وَمُوكِلُهُ ، وَشَاهِدَاهُ إِذَا عَلِمَاهُ ، وَالْوَاشِمَةُ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةُ ، وَلاوِي الصَّدَقَةِ ، وَالْمُرْتَدُّ أَعْرَابِيًّا بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ ، مَلْعُونُونَ عَلَى لِسَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the one who consumes usury, the one who gives it, and its two witnesses—while they are aware of it—and the woman who tattoos and the woman who gets herself tattooed, and the one who delays the payment of Zakat, and the Bedouin who becomes an apostate after migrating, all these people will be cursed by Muhammad (peace be upon him) on the Day of Resurrection.
