(4) بَابُ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ دَمَ الْمَرْءِ وَمَالَهَ إِنَّمَا يَحْرُمَانِ بَعْدَ الشَّهَادَةِ بِإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ إِذَا وَجَبَتْ،
4| Chapter on the evidence that a person’s blood and wealth are protected only after testifying, establishing prayer, and giving zakat when due
Hadith Q2248
إِذِ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ جَعَلَهُمْ إِخْوَانَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بَعْدَ التَّوْبَةِ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ وَبَعْدَ إِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ إِذَا وَجَبَتَا
Because Allah Almighty has made the polytheists brothers of the Muslims after they repent from shirk, establish prayer, and give zakat, when both of these have become obligatory.
Hadith 2248
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَنْبَسِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ ، حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ، وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلاةَ ، وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ، ثُمَّ حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيَّ دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ "
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no deity except Allah, establish prayer, and pay zakat. Then their blood and their wealth will be protected from me, and their reckoning is with Allah."
