Hadith 2216
حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ بِلالٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ رَمَضَانَ شَدَّ مِئْزَرَهُ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتِ فِرَاشَهُ حَتَّى يَنْسَلِخَ "
The noble wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that when the blessed month of Ramadan would begin, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would tighten his waist belt and would not come to his bed until Ramadan ended.
