Hadith 2114
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيَّ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، وَسَعْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ سِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا صَامَ الدَّهْرَ "
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of fasting in the month of Shawwal, it is as if he has fasted for the entire year."
