Hadith 2070
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) observed continuous fasting (wisal) during the days of Ramadan, so some Muslims also began to observe wisal. When this news reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "If this month were to be extended for us, I would observe such severe wisal that those who go to extremes and are harsh in the religion would desist from their extremism. I am not like you. When I observe wisal, my Lord feeds me and gives me drink."
