Hadith 2057
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الضَّبِّيُّ الْوَاسِطِيُّ بِالأَيْلَةِ , حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ , أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى , عَنْ نَافِعٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ مَاتَ وَعَلَيْهِ رَمَضَانُ لَمْ يَقْضِهِ , فَلْيُطْعَمْ عَنْهُ لِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ نِصْفَ صَاعٍ مِنْ بُرٍّ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever passes away and has missed some fasts of Ramadan which he did not observe, then for each missed fast, half a sa’ of wheat should be given to a poor person on his behalf."
