Hadith 2046
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : " كَانَ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ الصِّيَامُ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ , فَمَا أَقْضِيهِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ شَعْبَانُ "
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I used to have to make up missed fasts of Ramadan, but I could not perform them until Sha'ban would come.
Hadith 2047
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِمِثْلِهِ
The Imam, through his teacher Muhammad bin Bashar’s chain of narration, relates a hadith from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) similar to the one mentioned above.
Hadith 2048
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : " قَدْ كَانَ عَلَيَّ شَيْءٌ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ , ثُمَّ لا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَصُومَهُ حَتَّى يَجِيءَ شَعْبَانُ " . وَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ لِمَكَانِهَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . يَحْيَى يَقُولُهُ قَالَ : وَكَانَ يَسْتَنْظِرُهُ مَا لَمْ يُدْرِكْهُ رَمَضَانُ آخَرُ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I used to have some missed fasts of Ramadan to make up, but I could not observe them until the month of Sha'ban arrived. Yahya says that I think Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) could not fast (until the next Sha'ban) due to being occupied in the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Yahya says that she used to seek permission from him until the next Ramadan arrived.
Hadith 2049
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَشْجَعِيُّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ ، عَنِ الْبَهِيِّ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " مَا كُنْتُ أَقْضِي مَا يَبْقَى عَلَيَّ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ زَمَنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلا فِي شَعْبَانَ "
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that in the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I would only make up the missed fasts of Ramadan in the month of Sha'ban.
Hadith 2050
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ السُّدِّيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَهِيِّ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِمِثْلِهِ . وَقَالَ : حَيَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلَّهَا
Imam Sahib narrates through the chain of Ibrahim bin Mas'ud Hamdani, similar to the aforementioned narration of Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and in it are these words: "In the entire life of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I made up the missed fasts in Sha'ban."
Hadith 2051
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَهِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : " مَا قَضَيْتُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ إِلا فِي شَعْبَانَ حَتَّى قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ اللَّيْثَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ , وَعُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ وَهُمَا جَوْهَرَتَا الْبِلادِ ، يَقُولانِ : فُتِحَتْ مِصْرُ صُلْحًا
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that until the death of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I would only make up the missed fasts of Ramadan in the month of Sha'ban. Lais bin Sa'd (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Yazid bin Abi Habib and Ubaidullah bin Abi Ja'far, who were two pearls of their region, used to say that Egypt was conquered through reconciliation.
