Hadith 2039
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَرْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ ، أَنَّ بَكْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيّ حَدَّثَهُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ وَمَعَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ , فَشَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّوْمُ , فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ , فَشَرِبَ وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ , وَالنَّاسُ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ "
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey with his companions, and fasting became very difficult for his companions. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for a vessel in which there was water, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it while sitting on his mount, while the companions were looking towards him.
