Hadith 1994
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ عَجْلانَ مَوْلَى الْمُشْمَعِلِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تُسَابَّ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ ، فَإِنْ سَابَّكَ أَحَدٌ ، فَقُلْ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَائِمًا فَاجْلِسْ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not use foul language while you are fasting, and if someone abuses you, then say, 'Indeed, I am fasting.' And if you are standing, then sit down."
