Hadith 1992
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ . ح وَثَنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كَانَ صَوْمُ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلا يَرْفُثْ ، وَلا يَجْهَلْ ، فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَلْيَقُلْ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ " . وَقَالَ الأَشَجُّ : " إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you is fasting, he should neither use obscene or foul language nor act ignorantly, and if someone behaves ignorantly towards him, he should say: 'Indeed, I am fasting.'" In the narration of Ashajj, it is stated: "When it is the day of fasting for any one of you..."
