Hadith 1954
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، نا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَدْ وَقَعَ بِأَهْلِهِ فِي رَمَضَانَ , فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ . وَقَالَ فِي آخِرِهِ : " فَصُمْ يَوْمًا ، وَاسْتَغْفِرِ اللَّهَ " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : هَذَا الإِسْنَادُ وَهْمٌ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he had intercourse with his wife during the blessed month of Ramadan. Then the complete hadith was narrated, and at the end, he (the Prophet) said: "So (in expiation for this) observe one fast and seek forgiveness from Allah, the Exalted." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this chain of narration is mistaken.
Hadith 1955
الْخَبَرُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، هُوَ الصَّحِيحُ لا عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ . وَقَدْ رَوَى أَيْضًا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ جَدِّهِ مِثْلَ خَبَرِ الزُّهْرِيِّ . وَقَالَ فِي خَبَرِ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ . حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ , وَهَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ , قَالَ هَارُونُ : قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ , وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ . حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ , أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، قَالَ : الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ شَيْئًا
The Imam says that in the chain of the above-mentioned hadith, if Ibn Shihab Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Humaid bin Abdur Rahman, then it is authentic. And if he narrates from Abu Salamah, then it is not authentic. Hajjaj bin Arta’ has also narrated this narration through the chain “Amr bin Shu’aib from his father from his grandfather.” Imam Ibn Mubarak says that Hajjaj bin Arta’ did not hear anything from Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him).
