Hadith 1900
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrate that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty says that fasting is for Me and I alone will reward it. For the fasting person there are two occasions of happiness: ① When he breaks his fast, he is happy. ② When he meets Allah Almighty and He gives him reward and recompense, he will be happy. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell from the mouth of the fasting person is better and more pleasant to Allah Almighty than the fragrance of musk. In the narration of Janab Duraqi, the words 'He will give him reward and recompense' are not present."
