Hadith 1862
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا نَاصِحُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : مَرَرْتُ بِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَهُوَ عَلَى نَهَرِ أُمِّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ يَسِيلُ الْمَاءِ عَلَى غِلْمَانِهِ وَمَوَالِيهِ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْجُمُعَةَ ؟ فَقَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كَانَ الْمَطَرُ وَابِلا فَصَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ "
The freed slave of Banu Hashim, Ibn Abi Ammar, narrates that I passed by Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Samrah (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of Jumu’ah while he was at the canal of Umm Abdullah and was letting water flow for his children and slaves. So I said to him, “O Abu Sa’id, (will you not be present for) Jumu’ah?” He replied, “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘When there is heavy rain, perform the prayer in your homes.’”
