Hadith 1848
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that whoever catches one rak‘ah of the prayer has caught that prayer. In the narration of Janab Makhzumi, it is stated: “(Whoever) catches one rak‘ah of the prayer has caught (that prayer).”
Hadith 1849
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates from the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم that he said: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the prayer, he has caught that prayer." Imam Zuhri رحمه الله says that in our opinion, the Friday prayer is also included in this ruling, so when a person catches one rak'ah of it, he should join the second rak'ah with it.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates from the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم that he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Friday prayer has caught the Friday prayer." Imam Abu Bakr رحمه الله says that this narration has been reported in terms of meaning and not with the exact words. The words of the hadith are: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the prayer." And Jumu'ah is also included among the prayers, as Imam Zuhri رحمه الله has said. Therefore, when the hadith is narrated in terms of meaning and the original words are left, then it is correct to narrate it in this way: that whoever catches one rak'ah of Jumu'ah, because Jumu'ah is also among the prayers. Therefore, when the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the prayer has caught the prayer," then all prayers are included in this ruling, both the Friday prayer and all other prayers. This hadith has also been narrated by Usamah bin Zaid Laithi from Ibn Shihab رحمه الله with similar words.
Hadith 1851
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of Jumu'ah should complete it by adding another rak'ah to it." Janab Usamah says: I heard both the people of the gathering, Qasim bin Muhammad and Salim, saying that this has reached us.
