Hadith 1845
نا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ إِلَى النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ يَسْأَلُهُ : مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مَعَ سُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ ؟ , فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ : " أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِـ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ " . وَقَالَ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : يَسْأَلُهُ مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلاةِ الْجُمُعَةِ ؟ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ "
Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah bin Mas'ud narrates that Dhahhak bin Qais wrote to Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with them both) asking which surah the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to recite along with Surah Al-Jumu'ah on the day of Jumu'ah (in the Jumu'ah prayer). So he wrote in reply that he used to recite Surah Al-Jumu'ah and Surah Al-Ghashiyah « هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ ». In the narration of Makhzumi, it is mentioned that he asked Sayyiduna Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) which surahs the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to recite in the Jumu'ah prayer, so he wrote in reply that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to recite Surah Al-Jumu'ah and Surah Al-Ghashiyah « هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ ».
Hadith 1846
نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْفِهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْنَاهُ مَا كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ مَعَ السُّورَةِ الَّتِي يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا الْجُمُعَةُ ؟ قَالَ : " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ مَعَهَا هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ "
Hazrat Dahhak bin Qais (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that we asked Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him): "On the day of Jumu'ah, along with the Surah in which Jumu'ah is mentioned, which Surah would the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recite?" He replied, "Along with that Surah, he would recite Surah Al-Ghashiyah « هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ »."
