Hadith 1781
نا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَحْرٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْبَكْرَاوِيُّ ، نا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ خُطْبَتَيْنِ , يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُمَا " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : سَمِعْتُ بُنْدَارًا يَقُولُ : كَانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ يُجِلُّ هَذَا الشَّيْخَ يَعْنِي الْبَكْرَاوِيَّ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver two sermons on the day of Jumu'ah, and he would sit between them. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I heard Bandaar say that Imam Yahya bin Sa'id (may Allah have mercy on him) used to regard Shaykh Bakrawi as of high status and would honor and respect him.
