Hadith 1772
Imam Abu Bakr, may Allah have mercy on him, says that in the narration reported by Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, it is stated: “For every step taken (towards attending Jumu’ah), the reward of fasting and standing in prayer for one year is granted.” I have already written this narration before.
نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَزَارِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، وَالزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاةُ فَلا تَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ , وَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَمْشُونَ ، عَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ , فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا , وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَاقْضُوا "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the prayer has been established, do not come to the prayer running; rather, come to the prayer walking with calmness and tranquility. Whatever part of the prayer you catch, perform it, and whatever you miss, complete it."
