Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the day of Jumu'ah, angels are seated at the doors of the mosque, and they keep writing down the arrival of the people (in order). Then, when the Imam arrives, the registers are folded up and the pens are lifted. Then the angels ask each other, 'What has prevented such-and-such person from (attending) Jumu'ah?' Then the angels pray, 'O Allah, if such-and-such person has gone astray, then grant him guidance; and if he is ill, then grant him cure; and if he is poor, then make him wealthy.' This is the narration of Janab Muqri. And in the narration of Janab Qat'i, it is stated that 'The angels sit at the doors of the mosque,' and these words are also narrated: 'They say to each other, O Allah, if he has gone astray, then show him the straight path. If he has become such-and-such, then... till the end.'"
