(5) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْجُمُعَةِ الَّتِي جُمِعَتْ بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ الَّتِي جُمِعَتْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، وَذِكْرِ الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي جُمِعَ بِهِ.
5| Chapter on the Jumu‘ah held after the one in Madinah and the location where it was held
Hadith 1725
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ طَهْمَانَ , عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ الضُّبَعِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ جُمُعَةٍ جُمِّعَتْ بَعْدَ جُمُعَةٍ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَسْجِدُ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ بِجُوَاثَى مِنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that after the Friday prayer was established in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), the very first Friday prayer was performed in the mosque of Abdul Qais in Jawathi, a region of Bahrain.
