جماع أبواب صلاة النساء فى الجماعةChapters on Women’s Prayer in Congregation
(201) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَقُومُ سَاعَةَ يُسَلِّمُ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ خَلْفَهُ نِسَاءٌ،
201| Chapter on the evidence that the Prophet would only stand up immediately after prayer if there were no women behind him
Hadith Q1718
وَاسْتِحْبَابِ ثُبُوتِ الْإِمَامِ جَالِسًا إِذَا كَانَ خَلْفَهُ نِسَاءٌ لِيَرْجِعَ النِّسَاءُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَلْحَقَهُمُ الرِّجَالُ.
It is recommended for the imam to remain seated at that time when there are women behind him, so that they may return before the men mix with them.
Hadith 1718
نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَتْنِي هِنْدُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَتْهَا ، أَنَّ " النِّسَاءَ كُنَّ فِي عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَلَّمْنَ مِنَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ قُمْنَ , وَثَبَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَنْ صَلَّى خَلْفَهُ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ , فَإِذَا قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ الرِّجَالُ "
The noble wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that during the blessed time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), when women finished the obligatory prayer and said salam, they would get up, while the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and the men who prayed with him would remain seated. Then, when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stood up, the men would also get up.
