جماع أبواب صلاة النساء فى الجماعةChapters on Women’s Prayer in Congregation
(182) بَابُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ رَفْعِ النِّسَاءِ رُءُوسَهُنَّ مِنَ السُّجُودِ، إِذَا صَلَّيْنَ مَعَ الرِّجَالِ قَبْلَ اسْتِوَاءِ الرِّجَالِ جُلُوسًا، إِذَا ضَاقَتْ أُزُرُهُمْ، فَخِيفَ أَنْ يَرَى النِّسَاءُ عَوْرَاتِهِمْ.
182| Chapter on the prohibition of women raising their heads from prostration before the men have sat up, if the men’s garments are short and their nakedness might be seen
Hadith 1695
نا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّ النِّسَاءُ يُؤْمَرْنَ فِي الصَّلاةِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لا يَرْفَعْنَ رُءُوسَهُنَّ حَتَّى يَأْخُذَ الرِّجَالُ مَقَاعِدَهُمْ مِنْ قَبَاحَةِ الثِّيَابِ " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : خَبَرُ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، خَرَّجْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِ الْكَبِيرِ فِي أَبْوَابِ اللِّبَاسِ فِي الصَّلاةِ
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that during the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), due to the tightness of men’s clothing, women were instructed in prayer not to raise their heads (from prostration) until the men had sat up properly. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says: “I have already mentioned Sufyan al-Thawri’s narration from Abu Hazim in my book al-Kabir, in the chapters regarding clothing in prayer.”
