(173) بَابُ التَّغْلِيظِ فِي تَعَطُّرِ الْمَرْأَةِ عِنْدَ الْخُرُوجِ لِيُوجَدَ رِيحُهَا وَتَسْمِيَةِ فَاعِلِهَا زَانِيَةً،
173| Chapter on the stern warning against women wearing perfume when going out so their scent is noticed, and calling such a woman an adulteress
Hadith 1681
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ الْحَنَفِيِّ ، عَنْ غُنَيْمِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ اسْتَعْطَرَتْ ، فَمَرَّتْ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لِيَجِدُوا رِيحَهَا ، فَهِيَ زَانِيَةٌ ، وَكُلُّ عَيْنٍ زَانِيَةٌ "
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Any woman who applies perfume and then passes by people so that they may perceive her fragrance, she is an adulteress, and every eye (that looks at her) is an adulterous eye."
