16 (159) بَابُ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّهْيَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ لِتَأَذِّي النَّاسِ بِرِيحِهِ لَا تَحْرِيمًا لِأَكْلِهِ.159| Chapter on the evidence that the prohibition is due to people being harmed by the smell, not because eating is forbidden
17 (160) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّهْيَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ لِتَأَذِّي الْمَلَائِكَةِ بِرِيحِهِ إِذِ النَّاسُ يَتَأَذَّوْنَ بِهِ.160| Chapter on the evidence that the prohibition is because the angels are harmed by the smell, as are people
18 (161) بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنْ إِتْيَانِ الْمَسْجِدِ لِآكِلِ الثُّومِ، وَالْبَصَلِ، وَالْكُرَّاثِ إِلَى أَنْ يَذْهَبَ رِيحُهُ.161| Chapter on the prohibition of attending the mosque for one who has eaten garlic, onions, or leeks until the smell is gone
19 (162) بَابُ ذِكْرِ مَا خَصَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ نَبِيَّهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ تَرْكِ أَكْلِ الثُّومِ، وَالْبَصَلِ، وَالْكُرَّاثِ مَطْبُوخًا.162| Chapter on what Allah made specific to His Prophet of abstaining from eating cooked garlic, onions, and leeks
20 (163) بَابُ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُصَّ بِتَرْكِ أَكْلِهِنَّ لِمُنَاجَاةِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ.163| Chapter on the evidence that the Prophet abstained from eating them due to conversing with the angels
