(142) بَابُ تَلْقِينِ الْإِمَامِ إِذَا تَعَايَا، أَوْ تَرَكَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ.
142| Chapter on prompting the imam if he stumbles or forgets part of the Qur’an
Hadith 1647
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، وَأَبُو مُوسَى ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَتَرَكَ آيَةً " ، وَفِي الْقَوْمِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، نُسِّيتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، أَوْ نُسِخَتْ ؟ قَالَ : " نُسِّيتُهَا " . هَذَا حَدِيثُ بُنْدَارٍ وَقَالَ وَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى : عَنْ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُبَيٍّ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نُسِّيَ آيَةً مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ " وَفِي الْقَوْمِ أُبَيٌّ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نُسِّيتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ أَوْ نَسِيتَهَا ؟ قَالَ : " لا ، بَلْ نُسِّيتُهَا "
Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer and (during the recitation) left out a verse, and among the people was Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) as well. (After the prayer) he said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), did you forget such-and-such verse or has it been abrogated?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I forgot it." This is the narration of Bundar, and in the narration of Abu Musa it is mentioned that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while reciting during the prayer, forgot a verse of the Qur'an, and among the worshippers was Sayyiduna Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him) as well. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, you forgot such-and-such verse or has it been made to be forgotten (abrogated)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No (it has not been abrogated), rather I forgot it."
Hadith 1648
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ تَمَّامٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ كَثِيرٍ الْكَاهِلِيِّ ، عَنْ مِسْوَرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الأُسَيْدِيِّ ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الأَسَدِيُّ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، فَتَرَكَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَقْرَأْهُ " ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، تَرَكْتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ قَالَ : " فَهَلا أَدْرَكْتُمُونِيهَا ؟ " . زَادَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، فَقَالَ : كُنْتُ أُرَاهَا نُسِخَتْ
Sayyiduna Miswar bin Yazid Al-Asidi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting in prayer, and he left out some verses. So a man said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, you left out these verses." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you not remind me?" In the narration of Muhammad bin Yahya, there is this addition: that the companion replied, "I thought those verses had been abrogated, that is why I did not remind you."
