(137) بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنْ إِعَادَةِ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى نِيَّةِ الْفَرْضِ
137| Chapter on the prohibition of repeating a prayer with the intention of it being obligatory
Hadith 1641
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ ، نا أَبُو خَالِدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ الْمُكْتِبُ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، نا عِيسَى ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَسْرُوقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ مَوْلَى مَيْمُونَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ عَلَى الْبَلاطِ ، وَالنَّاسُ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَلا تُصَلِّي ؟ قَالَ : قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ ، قُلْتُ : أَلا تُصَلِّي مَعَهُمْ ؟ قَالَ : إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لا تُصَلُّوا صَلاةً فِي يَوْمٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ " . هَذَا حَدِيثُ عِيسَى
Sulaiman bin Yasar, the freed slave of Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates: I came to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) while he was sitting at the place of Balat, and people were performing prayer. I said, "Will you not pray?" He replied, "I have already performed the prayer." I asked, "Will you not perform the (congregational) prayer with these people?" He replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Do not perform the same prayer twice in one day.'" This is the narration of Janab Isa.
