(117) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِائْتِمَامِ أَهْلِ الصُّفُوفِ الْأَوَاخِرِ بِأَهْلِ الصُّفُوفِ الْأُوَلِ.
117| Chapter on the instruction for those in the back rows to follow those in the front rows
Hadith 1612
حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ أَبِي الأَشْهَبِ السَّعْدِيِّ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الأَشْهَبِ ، نا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ تَأَخُّرًا ، فَقَالَ : " تَقَدَّمُوا ، وَائْتَمُّوا بِي ، وَلْيَأْتَمَّ بِكُمْ مَنْ بَعْدَكُمْ ، وَلا يَزَالُ الْقَوْمُ يَتَأَخَّرُونَ حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرَهُمُ اللَّهُ " . هَذَا حَدِيثُ وَكِيعٍ . وَقَالَ ابْنُ مَعْمَرٍ : عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ الْعَبْدِيِّ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his companions staying behind in the rows, so he said: "Move forward and follow me in prayer, and those behind you should follow you, and some people keep staying behind until Allah also puts them behind." This is the narration of Waki'.
