(76) بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ الِاصْطِفَافِ بَيْنَ السَّوَارِي
76| Prohibition of lining up between the pillars
Hadith 1568
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ هَانِئٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ مَحْمُودٍ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَزَحَمَنَا إِلَى السَّوَارِي ، فَقَالَ " كُنَّا نَتَّقِي هَذَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "
Abdul Hameed bin Mahmood narrates that I prayed standing next to Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him). Due to the crowd, we reached up to the pillars, so he said that during the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to avoid this action.
