جماع أبواب قيام المأمومين خلف الإمام وما فيه من السننChapters on Followers Standing Behind the Imam
(68) بَابُ ذِكْرِ صَلَوَاتِ الرَّبِّ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ عَلَى وَاصِلِي الصُّفُوفِ الْأُوَلِ.
68| Allah and His angels send blessings on those in the front rows
Hadith 1556
نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَوْسَجَةَ النَّهْمِيِّ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِي الصَّفَّ مِنْ نَاحِيَةٍ إِلَى نَاحِيَةٍ ، فَيَمْسَحُ مَنَاكِبَنَا أَوْ صُدُورُنَا وَيَقُولُ : " لا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ " قَالَ : وَكَانَ قَالَ : وَكَانَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ الصُّفُوفَ الأُوَلَ " وَحَسِبْتُهُ وَحَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ : " زَيِّنُوا الْقُرْآنَ بِأَصْوَاتِكُمْ "
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), at the time of arranging the rows, would walk from one end of the row to the other. He (peace be upon him) would straighten our shoulders and chests with his blessed hand and would say: “Do not differ among yourselves (do not stand ahead or behind one another), otherwise your hearts will also differ.” Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he (peace be upon him) used to say: “Indeed, Allah the Exalted sends His mercy upon those who join the first rows, and His angels pray for their forgiveness.” And I think he also said: “Adorn the Qur’an with your beautiful voices.”
