(61) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِأَنْ يَكُونَ النَّقْصُ وَالْخَلَلُ فِي الصَّفِّ الْآخِرِ.

Hadith 1546
نا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَتِمُّوا الصَّفَّ الْمُتَقَدِّمَ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ نَقْصًا فَلْيَكُنْ فِي الْمُؤَخَّرِ "
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Complete the front row, and if there is any deficiency, it should be in the last row."
Hadith 1547
نا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بِمِثْلِهِ . قَالَ : " أَتِمُّوا الصَّفَّ الأَوَّلَ وَالثَّانِيَ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ خَلَلٌ فَلْيَكُنْ فِي الثَّالِثِ "
These words are narrated through the chain of Imam Shu’bah: “Complete the first and second rows, then if there is any deficiency, it should be in the third row.”
