(57) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِتَسْوِيَةِ الصُّفُوفِ قَبْلَ تَكْبِيرِ الْإِمَامِ.
57| Command to straighten rows before the imam starts the prayer
Hadith 1542
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ ، نا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ وَهُوَ الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَخْبَرَةَ الأَزْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ مَنَاكِبَنَا فِي الصَّلاةِ ، وَيَقُولُ : " اسْتَوُوا ، وَلا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ : " فَأَنْتُمُ الْيَوْمَ أَشَدُّ اخْتِلافًا " . هَذَا حَدِيثُ وَكِيعٍ ، وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ، وَابْنِ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : يُسَوِّي مَنَاكِبَنَا . وَفِي حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : يَمْسَحُ عَوَاتِقَنَا
Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud Uqbah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would straighten our shoulders with his hand when forming rows for prayer and would say: "Stand straight and do not differ, lest your hearts differ among you." Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that today you have fallen into severe disagreement. This is the narration of Waki'. In the narration of Abu Usamah and Ibn Abi 'Adi, it is stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would align our shoulders, and in the narration of Muhammad bin Ja'far, it is mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would pass his hand over our shoulders (and align them).
