(45) بَابُ انْتِظَارِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ الْإِمَامَ بِالْإِقَامَةِ
45| The muezzin waiting for the imam before the iqamah
Hadith 1525
أنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ، نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ السَّلُولِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ مُؤَذِّنُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُؤَذِّنُ ، ثُمَّ يُمْهِلُ ، فَإِذَا رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ أَقْبَلَ ، أَخَذَ فِي الإِقَامَةِ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) muezzin would call the adhan and then wait. When he saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) coming, he would begin to say the iqamah.
