(26) بَابُ فَضْلِ إِيطَانِ الْمَسَاجِدِ لِلصَّلَاةِ فِيهَا
26| Virtue of establishing the mosque for prayer
Hadith 1503
نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يُوَطِّنُ الرَّجُلُ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلصَّلاةِ إِلا تَبَشْبَشَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنْ حِينِ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ كَمَا يَتَبَشْبَشُ أَهْلُ الْغَائِبِ بِغَائِبِهِمْ إِذَا قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِمْ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Whoever makes the mosques his place for prayer, then when he leaves his house, Allah Almighty is as pleased with him as the family of a person is pleased at the arrival of one who was absent."
