(25) بَابُ الشَّهَادَةِ بِالْإِيمَانِ لِعُمَّارِ الْمَسَاجِدِ بِإِتْيَانِهَا وَالصَّلَاةِ فِيهَا
25| Testimony of faith for those who frequent mosques and pray in them
Hadith 1502
نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الرَّجُلَ يَعْتَادُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَاشْهَدُوا عَلَيْهِ بِالإِيمَانِ " قَالَ اللَّهُ : إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ سورة التوبة آية 18
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you see a person who is accustomed to coming to the mosque (for attending, praying, and taking care), then bear witness to his faith. Allah Almighty says: « إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ » [ سورة التوبة : 18 ] 'Indeed, only those maintain the mosques of Allah who believe in Allah and the Last Day.'"
