(22) بَابُ ذِكْرِ كِتَابَةِ أَجْرِ الْمُصَلِّي بِالْمَشْيِ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ
22| Recording the reward of the one who walks to prayer
Hadith 1497
نَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْمُتَّهَمُ فِي رَأْيِهِ الثِّقَةُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، وَالْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلَى كُلٍّ مِنَ الإِنْسَانِ صَلاةٌ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : هَذَا مِنْ أَشَدِّ مَا أَتَيْتَنَا بِهِ ، قَالَ : " أَمْرُكَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ، وَنَهْيُكَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ صَلاةٌ ، وَحَمْلُكَ عَنِ الضَّعِيفِ صَلاةٌ ، وَإِنْحَاؤُكَ الْقَذَرَ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ صَلاةٌ ، وَكُلُّ خُطْوَةٍ تَخْطُوهَا إِلَى الصَّلاةِ صَلاةٌ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Charity is obligatory upon every joint of a person every day." One of the people said: This is the hardest command you have given us. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Enjoining good and forbidding evil is charity. Helping a weak person by lifting his load is charity for you. Removing something harmful from the road is charity. And every step you take towards prayer is charity."
